Story so far: I started my working life as a university scholarship holder with BP. My career then continued in industry and I rose to be Finance Director in an international group in the construction industry. At the same time I was a charity volunteer worker.

In my mid-thirties, I made one of the best decisions of my life, and moved to the charity / voluntary sector.

Since then I have served a wide range of charities as Trustee and in leadership roles including Chief Executive.

Personal

I have lived and worked in many parts of the UK. My family of three sons and four grand-children provide me with much interest and satisfaction.

My home is in Brighton which is a thriving, modern city and I take full advantage of its superb cultural scene including the largest arts festival in England.

After university I qualified as an FCCA accountant and subsequently was admitted as a Fellow of the RSA.

My special commitment is to the charitable sector, volunteering and the role of charities in helping develop our community and overcome disadvantage.

We have greatly enjoyed working with you and the wonderful team you have created. I have been constantly impressed by your inspiring leadership. So many owe so much to your vision.
